Description
The LASCO 29-0517 Black Iron Nipple and Coupling is a specialized plumbing component designed to connect two fixed, immovable pipe ends within rigid piping layouts. Featuring a robust 3/4-inch diameter by 4-inch length build, this assembly incorporates opposing right-hand and left-hand National Pipe Thread standards.
As the central coupling is rotated, it draws both fixed pipe sections tightly together simultaneously, making it an efficient replacement for a traditional three-piece ground joint union. Built from durable black iron, it delivers reliable performance for secure gas line installations and residential or industrial fluid piping networks where standard rotational clearance is limited.
How to use
- Ensure pipe lines are completely shut off and depressurized before installation.
- Apply appropriate thread sealant or tape to the pipe threads.
- Thread the right-hand and left-hand ends into the fixed pipe sections, and rotate the central coupling to draw the connection tight securely.
Ingredients
Constructed from durable malleable black iron with standard National Pipe Thread threading.
