  3. Smooth down the adhesive edges of the patch firmly onto the surrounding skin to create a waterproof seal.

    Solid!

    It works well and doesn't irritate the baby's skin like other products. But as the description says, it's only for umbilical hernias. You should only buy it if recommended by a pediatrician-a good pediatrician who knows about this. I had my baby in South America, and here it's common to use a button with adhesive strips to push the umbilical cord back in. Due to family pressure and a bad recommendation from a pediatrician, I used this. I bought this because the strips often cause skin irritation and burns. (Actually, this didn't cause any irritation or pain.) I used it for almost three months, but the umbilical cord remained protruding. Family pressure kept insisting I use it until another pediatrician recommended it, and it was definitely not necessary since my baby doesn't have an umbilical hernia. I simply have to wait. As Po repeated, this works very well for those problems as it says in the description, if you use it for the reason I used it, it won't work, you'll waste your money.
