FAQs
How do I set up the water bottle chew guard in a glass aquarium?
To install the shield in a glass aquarium tank, carefully bend the top mounting bracket over the rim of the tank. Once the guard is securely hooked, slide your standard water bottle inside and use the included spring tension holder to keep it stable.
Will this chew guard fit wide mouth or glass water bottles?
No, this specific eight Ounce guard is strictly designed for standard plastic small animal water bottles. It is not compatible with wide mouth bottles, top fill models, or glass watering bottles.
Why is this metal chew guard unpainted?
The guard uses bare galvanized steel because small pets naturally try to nibble on protective barriers. An unpainted surface prevents animals from accidentally ingesting flaked paint or toxic coatings when they scratch or scuff the metal.
Is this Lixit chew guard an authentic imported product available in India?
Yes, this is a fully authentic Lixit product imported directly from the USA. Dropy sources these pet accessories directly from trusted United States suppliers to ensure premium quality for Indian pet parents.
How does the shield prevent water bottles from leaking?
The chew guard itself protects the bottle from damage, but to prevent leaking, you must fill the water bottle completely to the top to establish a proper internal vacuum seal. A few initial drops are normal until the vacuum forms.
