FAQs
What are the disadvantages of an electric blanket?
Electric blankets should not be folded or bunched while in use, as this can trap heat. They are also not recommended for individuals who cannot easily remove the blanket themselves or those with certain medical conditions, so consult a doctor if unsure.
Can diabetics use a heated blanket?
Individuals with diabetes or other conditions that affect nerve sensitivity should consult their physician before using a heated blanket. This is because reduced heat sensation may prevent the user from noticing if the blanket has become too hot.
How much does it cost to run an electric blanket for 8 hours?
The cost depends on your local electricity tariff and the power wattage of the blanket. Generally, electric blankets are energy-efficient, often costing significantly less to run than traditional space heaters because they heat the user directly.
