FAQs
Where is the exhaust manifold gasket located?
The exhaust manifold gasket is located directly between the engine cylinder head and the exhaust manifold. Its primary role is to seal the combustion chamber exhaust paths and prevent gas leaks into the engine compartment.
What vehicles are compatible with the Mahle MS19225 gasket set?
This gasket set is compatible with 1998.5 to 2018 Dodge Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 models equipped with 5.9L or 6.7L Cummins diesel engines.
How long do exhaust manifold gaskets last?
Exhaust manifold gaskets typically last for many years and tens of thousands of miles under normal driving conditions. However, constant thermal expansion and contraction can eventually cause them to degrade and leak, requiring replacement.
