Description
Maintain a thriving aquatic ecosystem with the authentic MarineLand PRBW100B Bio-Wheel Assembly, designed specifically as a direct replacement part for Penguin 100B power filters. This essential aquarium component drives powerful biological filtration by offering a massive surface area dedicated to cultivating beneficial bacteria.
These helpful microorganisms work continuously to eliminate toxic ammonia and nitrites from your aquarium water, creating a safe and healthy environment for your fish and aquatic pets. The pleated material of the wheel may exhibit normal discoloration and irregular rotation speeds over time, which are both completely natural indicators that the biological process is active and functioning properly.
Built to high manufacturing standards, this replacement assembly ensures long-lasting performance and reliable water purification for your 20-gallon aquarium setup.
How to use
- Rinse the bio-wheel assembly lightly under aquarium-safe water if necessary during routine maintenance.
- Install the wheel directly into the designated slots of your Penguin 100B power filter, ensuring it makes proper contact with the water flow to begin rotation.
- Do not replace the bio-wheel unless it is physically damaged, as preserving the established beneficial bacteria colony is essential for tank health.

FAQs
Are you setting up a new filter or replacing a broken part?
This product serves as an authentic replacement part for an existing Penguin 100B power filter. If you are setting up a brand new filtration system, ensure all manufacturer guidelines are followed during installation.
What size is your aquarium tank?
The Marineland PRBW100B Bio-Wheel Assembly is specifically sized and optimized for use with 20-gallon aquarium tanks utilizing the Penguin 100B power filter model.
Why is the bio-wheel discolored or spinning irregularly?
Discoloration of the pleated bio-wheel material is completely normal and desirable because it signifies active beneficial bacteria growth. Similarly, irregular rotation speeds do not affect performance, and the wheel is actively filtering as long as it continues to move.
Are these Marineland filter parts authentic and imported to India?
Yes, this product is an authentic USA import sourced directly by Dropy to ensure top-quality performance for your home aquarium setup in India.
When should I replace my aquarium bio-wheel?
You should never replace a bio-wheel unless it is physically damaged or broken. Discarding an intact wheel removes the essential beneficial bacteria colony required for stable water chemistry.
