Description
Meguiar's Ultimate Three Step Paint Care Kit is the definitive all in one solution for automotive enthusiasts looking to restore, refine, and protect their vehicle's exterior. Perfectly engineered for neglected or dull finishes, this professional grade detailing system eliminates below surface paint defects and brings out a spectacular showroom shine.
The first step utilizes a advanced compound formulated with micro abrasives to safely clear away stubborn oxidation, light scratches, water spots, and blemishes without swirling the clear coat. The second step introduces a premium polish that acts as a pre wax glaze, conditioning the paint with nourishing oils to maximize depth of colour and create deep, wet look reflections, especially on dark or black vehicles.
The final step seals in the brilliant results using a synthetic polymer liquid wax that provides long lasting hydrophobic protection and extreme water beading action against harsh environmental elements. This inclusive kit also provides premium detailing accessories, including soft foam applicator pads and high quality Supreme Shine microfiber towels, ensuring a flawless, mirror like finish whether applied by hand or with a dual action polisher.
How to use
- Thoroughly wash and dry the vehicle before beginning.
- Work in a shaded area on a cool surface, focusing on small two foot by two foot sections at a time.
- Step One: Apply a small amount of Ultimate Compound to a foam applicator pad and work over the section with moderate pressure to remove defects, then wipe clean with a microfiber towel.
- Step Two: Apply Ultimate Polish in a similar manner using a fresh applicator pad to condition the paint and maximize gloss, wiping off immediately.
- Step Three: Spread a thin, even coat of Ultimate Liquid Wax over the surface, allow it to cure until it appears hazy, and buff to a mirror-like shine with a clean Supreme Shine microfiber towel.
- To prevent color bleeding, wash the yellow and black microfiber towels in separate laundry loads.

FAQs
What is Meguiar's 3 step wax system?
The Meguiar's three step system is a comprehensive paint care routine designed to restore and protect your vehicle's finish. It begins with a compound to clear away below surface defects like scratches and oxidation. This is followed by a polish to condition the paint for maximum depth of colour, and finishes with a synthetic liquid wax for long lasting hydrophobic protection.
What is Meguiar's Ultimate Polish used for?
Meguiar's Ultimate Polish is used as a pre-wax glazing step that eliminates fine swirl marks and deeply conditions automotive paint. It adds nutrient rich oils to the surface, which maximizes reflections and creates a deep, wet-look gloss. It is highly effective on metallic and dark colored vehicles to enhance visual depth before applying a sealant.
What is the difference between Meguiars Ultimate and polish?
In this specific product line, the Ultimate Compound is an abrasive formula designed to cut through clear coat defects, oxidation, and scratches. The Ultimate Polish, on the other hand, is a non-abrasive or micro-abrasive glazing step intended to restore oils, enhance gloss, and prepare the paint surface for optimal wax adhesion.
