Product details

The Meike 35mm F1.7 Large Aperture Manual Focus Prime Fixed Lens is an exceptional addition to your photography kit, perfect for mastering the art of manual shooting. Designed specifically for Sony E-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras, this compact and lightweight lens is ideal for casual walk-around photography, including detailed street captures, expansive landscapes, and stunning portraits of family and friends. Its versatile 35mm focal length provides a natural perspective that mirrors human vision, making it highly adaptable for various shooting scenarios.

Featuring an impressive maximum aperture of f1.7, this lens excels in challenging low-light environments, allowing you to capture crisp images without relying heavily on high ISO settings. The large aperture also delivers a shallow depth of field, producing beautifully smooth background separation and creamy bokeh that makes your subject stand out. Constructed with high-quality multi-layer coating, the optics are engineered to minimize flaring and vignetting, ensuring optimal color accuracy and high contrast across your frames. Built with a robust all-metal body and a 49mm filter diameter, this durable lens is tailored for creative enthusiasts seeking precise control over their focus and exposure.

  1. Mount the lens onto your compatible Sony E-mount mirrorless camera body.
  2. Because this is a fully manual lens with no electronic communication, you must enter your camera's custom menu settings and enable the 'Release without lens' or 'Release shutter without lens' option to allow shooting.
  3. Set your camera mode to Manual (M) or Aperture Priority (A), manually adjust the focus ring until your subject is sharp, and turn the aperture ring to choose your desired depth of field.

Premium multi-coated optical glass elements, high-grade aircraft aluminum alloy housing, metallic mount interface, and precision-engineered mechanical focus and aperture rings.

FAQs

Are Meike lenses manual focus only?

While Meike produces some newer autofocus models, this specific Meike 35mm f1.7 lens is a fully manual focus prime lens. It does not feature automatic focus or electronic stabilization, giving you complete mechanical control over your shots.

What is a 35mm lens good for?

A 35mm lens is incredibly versatile and often considered an excellent everyday walk-around lens. It is well-suited for street photography, environmental portraits, landscapes, and casual documentation of daily life due to its natural field of view.

Can I use this APS-C lens on a full-frame Sony camera?

Yes, you can use this lens on full-frame Sony E-mount camera bodies. However, to avoid heavy vignetting and dark corners, you must access your camera settings and switch the capture mode to APS-C crop mode.

Is this Meike lens an authentic import available in India?

Yes, this is a one hundred percent authentic USA-imported product. Dropy India sources these genuine photography items directly from authorized suppliers in the United States, ensuring Indian creators receive reliable, original equipment.

Why does my camera say no lens is attached when I mount this?
