This unisex safety guard effectively prevents young children from pushing down or unbuckling their existing chest clips, ensuring they remain safely positioned throughout the drive.
Ideal for toddlers and babies, this durable black plastic guard provides peace of mind during daily commutes and long road trips. It features a locking mechanism for the shoulder straps and buckle, adding an extra layer of security to your vehicle's existing safety setup.

FAQs
How to keep a toddler from sliding a chest clip down?
Using a dedicated safety device like the Merritt Manufacturing Chest Clip Guard locks the shoulder straps in place. This prevents curious toddlers from physically pushing the clip downward or unbuckling themselves while the vehicle is in motion.
What is the purpose of a chest clip on a car seat?
The primary purpose of a chest clip is to position the harness straps correctly over the child's shoulders before a crash occurs. It ensures the straps do not slip off the shoulders, keeping the child securely inside the protective shell of the car seat.
Are aftermarket car seat chest clips safe to use?
While safety guards help prevent children from escaping, parents should always consult their specific car seat user manual before installation. Ensure the accessory is compatible and properly installed without interfering with the harness tension.
Is this Merritt Manufacturing Chest Clip Guard authentic and available in India?
Yes, this is a 100% authentic USA-imported product. Dropy India sources genuine Merritt Manufacturing safety accessories directly from trusted suppliers in the United States, ensuring Indian parents receive genuine premium quality.
Does this guard fit all types of Indian and international car seats?
It features a universal design but requires a car seat where the harness straps can be completely unhooked from the splitter plate at the back. Please check the back of your car seat to confirm compatibility before purchasing.
