FAQs
What does Mishimoto oil catch can do?
A Mishimoto oil catch can intercepts oil vapors, moisture, and carbon blow-by from the PCV and CCV air lines before they can enter and gunk up your engine intake system. This process helps maintain cleaner combustion, protects the intercooler, and preserves long-term engine performance.
What is a baffled catch can?
A baffled catch can features internal physical walls or plates that disrupt and turbulate airflow. These internal baffles force oil droplets to separate and drop to the bottom of the container while preventing accumulated fluid from splashing back into the system during hard cornering or race conditions.
What is an oil catch can with two inlets?
An oil catch can with multiple ports or inlets is designed to handle complex crankcase ventilation setups, allowing you to route lines from different points on the engine PCV or CCV system into a single filtration and collection reservoir.
