Product details

The Monoprice Cat5e Six Inch Blue Ethernet Patch Cable provides reliable, high-performance connectivity for high-speed local area networks. Designed specifically for short-range setups, this six-inch networking cord is perfect for tidy wire management in structured wiring cabinets, server racks, and connections between adjacent local equipment. It features a high-bandwidth rating of 350MHz, making it an excellent choice for connecting routers, network switches, modems, patch panels, and VoIP phones.

Built with quality in mind, this cable utilizes twenty-four AWG stranded pure bare copper conductors rather than copper-clad aluminum wire, ensuring full compliance with fire and safety standards. The unshielded twisted pair engineering minimizes data loss, keeping your internet connections fast and stable. Network administrators, IT professionals, and smart-home enthusiasts looking to eliminate messy cable clutter will appreciate the clean installation this short length allows.

It ensures efficient data transmission across all network-enabled hardware.

  1. Plug one end of the RJ45 connector into an available Ethernet port on your network switch, router, or patch panel.
  2. Connect the opposite RJ45 end into the corresponding network port of your adjacent server, computer, or network-enabled hardware device.
  3. Ensure the snagless clip clicks firmly into place to secure the connection.
  4. Ideal for short-distance routing to eliminate cable slack.

Polyvinyl chloride jacket, pure bare copper stranded wire conductors, polyethylene insulation, gold-plated contacts, polycarbonate RJ45 connector plugs.

FAQs

What is the difference between pure bare copper and copper clad aluminum cables?

Pure bare copper conductors offer higher conductivity, better flexibility, and greater durability than copper-clad aluminum alternatives. They also fully comply with international safety and fire standards for communications cables, ensuring a safer and more reliable network installation.

Can this Cat5e patch cable be used in a Cat6 network infrastructure?

Yes, this cable is backward compatible and will function within a Cat6 network setup. However, the connection will operate at the maximum performance specifications of the Cat5e standard, which supports bandwidth up to 350MHz.

What does the snagless boot design do for the connector?

The snagless strain relief boot covers the retaining clip of the RJ45 plug. This protection prevents the plastic tab from snagging and snapping off when pulling cables through tight spaces or dense server racks.

Are the Monoprice networking products sold on Dropy India authentic imports?

Yes, all products available on Dropy India are authentic items imported directly from the USA. Customers receive genuine international merchandise sourced straight from trusted global suppliers.

Is a six inch network cable long enough for a computer setup?

A six-inch cable is extremely short and is specifically designed for patching close-range connections, such as stacking switches or connecting a modern directly to a router right next to it. For standard computer-to-wall-jack connections, a longer length is typically required.
