Description
Upgrade your vehicle cooling system with the MotoRad 45979 SuperStat Premium Thermostat, engineered to deliver superior temperature regulation compared to standard original equipment parts. Designed with a patented non-linear V-notch system, this thermostat ensures a precise initial coolant flow, gradually expanding as engine temperatures rise to prevent sudden temperature spikes and coolant flooding.
Featuring a 25 percent larger piston diameter that supplies one and a half times the actuation power, it guarantees reliable flow control under heavy loads and high operating temperatures. The heavy-duty stainless steel flange provides exceptional corrosion resistance and structural strength for extended longevity, making it an ideal choice for drivers seeking enhanced thermal efficiency, stable engine operation, and optimized fuel economy.
How to use
- Ensure the engine is completely cool before starting.
- Drain a portion of the coolant from the radiator.
- Remove the thermostat housing cover and take out the old thermostat along with its gasket.
- Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly.
- Install the new MotoRad 45979 SuperStat thermostat with the air-bleed jiggle pin positioned upwards, fit a new gasket, secure the housing cover, and refill the cooling system with the recommended coolant mixture before bleeding any trapped air.
