FAQs
Is an undercoat rake good for dogs?
Yes, an undercoat rake is excellent for double-coated, medium, or long-haired dog breeds. It safely penetrates the topcoat to remove trapped, dead undercoat fur without cutting or damaging the healthy outer hairs.
What are the two grooming brush types used on a double coat animal?
A dual-sided grooming routine typically utilizes a low-density dematting rake to clear thick mats and a higher-density deshedding tool to clear out loose, dead undercoat fur.
Can this dematting comb be used safely on cats?
Absolutely. This tool features skin-safe, rounded stainless steel teeth that gently glide through long or medium cat fur, making it highly effective for preventing hairballs and mats.
Are these pet grooming tools authentic imports available in India?
Yes, these Mysite pet grooming tools are authentic USA-imported products. Dropy India sources them directly from trusted US suppliers to ensure genuine quality for Indian pet parents.
How often should I use this undercoat rake on my long-haired pet?
For best results and to prevent painful matting, use the double-sided rake two to three times a week. During heavy seasonal shedding periods, daily brushing may be necessary.
