    This supplement MADE the difference!

    My child is neurodivergent and bedtime used to be terrible. I considered melatonin for quite awhile, but was hesitant because he was only 3. He wasn't bad at bedtime. He procrastinated a bit like most kids, but the real issue was he just couldn't fall asleep. It would take 2-3 hours for him to fall asleep. I tried guided meditation and he would even ask me to do it to help him relax, we read, we told stories, I massaged him. One night after months of taking eons to go to bed, after trying everything I could think of the help him fall asleep I just got up and walked out of his room. He got up a found minutes later on the couch and asked me what I was doing. I was frustrated and I said I'm just getting up. I guess we can just watch TV and not go to bed. He started sobbing and told me he didn't want to be tired for school. I of course felt awful. I knew he could see my frustration and he thought it was his fault. I apologized to him, told him I wasn't upset with him. I told him I knew how he felt bc I also have problems sleeping (long term chronic insomnia since age 14). I told him it would make me upset if I couldn't sleep and Dad just got frustrated and told me to go to bed. I thought about how I felt dragging myself out of bed in highschool after only sleeping 2-3 hours and all the detentions I got for being tardy to first hour. At the time it seemed like a normal consequence for my failure to get to school on time. Looking back, it seems rather awful. It's a curse not to sleep especially as a child and then to get punished on top of it, seems rather unfair.I promised him I would come up with a plan to help him sleep. I talked to a couple parents I know who used melatonin for their ASD children. The next day while my son was at school I headed off to the store and got him some melatonin, a lavender diffuser, and Calm lavender baby bath. When he got home I told he would sleep great that night. I showed him the gummy and told him that I use one to fall asleep too. I showed him the lavender diffuser which would help his room smell calm and the calm bath (he wasn't interested). That first night he went right to bed. I wondered if it was coincidence and knew he was already really tired. The next night was the same we read a story and 15 minutes later he was asleep. It was the same the next night and the next. He was 4.5 by the time I started these gummies and I wish I would have done it sooner. Although, it isn't recommended to just give young children melatonin, it is warranted in the neurodivergent population. His doctor okayed it, and the other parents I spoke to who's children took it made me feel better about giving it a try. Now I don't know why I thought it was such a big deal to try. I love that this gummy has magnesium and L-theanine. I was able to eliminate his magnesium gummy. He likes the way these taste. He takes multivitamin gummies and saves this one for last because it's his favorite. It's texture is pretty normal, not too hard. It's a good value for the money bc now I don't have to buy melatonin and magnesium separately.
