FAQs
What project or material are you fastening?
These fasteners are ideal for securing machinery, automotive assemblies, structural wood, and general outdoor fixtures where moderate corrosion resistance is required. They work exceptionally well with pre-tapped holes or compatible nuts and washers.
Do you need matching nuts, lock washers, or flat washers?
Yes, pairing these bolts with matching 5/16-18 stainless steel nuts and flat or split lock washers ensures a secure, vibration-resistant assembly that distributes clamping load evenly across surfaces.
Can these screws be used in saltwater environments?
No, 18-8 stainless steel is recommended for outdoor and fresh water use only. For marine or saltwater environments, grade 316 stainless steel fasteners should be used instead to prevent pitting and corrosion.
