How to use
- Remove the fuel insert from your lighter case.
- Unscrew the flint spring tube screw at the bottom of the insert using a small screwdriver or coin.
- Remove the old spring assembly and tap out any remaining small pieces of worn flint.
- Drop one new gold flint stone into the open tube.
- Reinsert the spring assembly and tighten the screw clockwise until firm.
- Place the insert back into the outer casing and strike the wheel to test the spark.

Operates properly in my Zippo J16
This is an remarkable deal for a set of what are essentially permanent lighters. We have another one with our camping and emergency gear. Each flint is really 3 flints in one. Not only do you get extra flints, but I have no idea when we will ever get to the point of needing them. They are very simple to use and feel very durable. We are using one daily to light a gas stove. They work very nicely. You will need a Phillips screw driver to do that. They are not exactly lighters as they give off sparks, not flames. When one is no longer working effectively, you simply turn it to another vertex of the triangle. But sparks is all I need.

Operates properly in my Zippo J16
These flints work well in my J16 zippo. I had been using some zippo brand flints that were slightly shorter than the original flint. These are a bit longer, more like the original flint, and give me an effortless light on the first try. These should also last a little bit longer than the zippo replacements. The value is also much better as the zippo dispenser comes with only 6 flints. For the price of 24 zippo flints you can get 500 of these. These flints also come in a nice glass vile that I keep with my wicks and fluid. Lastly I got a surprise addition of some wicks with my flints, so over all I'm super pleased with my purchase!

Incredibly cool thing, effortless to use. Game changer, will never be without one again. I would propose purchasing another hemp wick. Also, I had no problems whatsoever with my lighter getting stuck inside enjoy other reviews. Surprised at how immaculate the hemp wick burns compared to lighter alone. I am using standard proportions Bic lighter and is right for perfectly. The included wick is not top craftsmanship in my opinion and burns super quick. Perhaps they updated the design after complaints.

These are definitely NOT zippo brand quality, but you get what you pay for. These little flints come in a little jar as pictured (about 2 inches tall). I did not take the time to actually count each one individually to see if there actually were 500.... LOLthey do strike well, and do their function well in zippo or zippo style lighters, however do not last as long as brand name - but that is to be expected for a bulk product. Other than lifespan, these are worth buying to keep extras on hand in case of need!
