The Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 is an ultra-compact and lightweight standard prime lens designed specifically for Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras. Straddling the line between wide-angle and normal fields of view, this versatile walkaround lens is perfect for everything from street photography and landscapes to intimate candid portraits.
Its bright f/2 maximum aperture excels in low-light environments, allowing photographers to shoot with faster shutter speeds while delivering excellent subject-to-background separation with a smooth, soft bokeh effect. FAQs
What is the price of Nikon 40mm f2?
The retail price typically ranges between 22,000 and 26,000 Indian Rupees depending on taxes and import duties. You can check the current live pricing and availability directly on the Dropy India store page.
Can this lens be used on APS-C or DX format Nikon Z cameras?
Yes, it is fully compatible with both FX full-frame and DX APS-C format Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. When used on a DX format body, it provides a 60mm equivalent focal length which is excellent for flattering portraits.
Does the NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 come with a lens hood?
The standard package for this ultra-compact lens does not include a dedicated lens hood because the front element is deeply recessed. This recess helps naturally protect the glass from stray light and flare.
