    Started using it for speech disorder, still taking it for all its benefits

    Our very favorite fish oil supplement, hands down. The whole family takes these now.Its amazing, but there is no fishy taste, at ALL. My kids, that are too young to swallow large capsules, just chew these up and seem to enjoy it! We started using this brand because it was mentioned in many different apraxia (neurological speech disorder) blogs and it had been used in studies. My oldest child had a diagnosis of apraxia at the age of 2. By the time he was 4 his new speech therapist didn't believe that was what he had. I think it was the fish oil supplements (this brand) that we started when he was 18 months that made the new ST think there was no way he had apraxia. There are more stories out there on the web that back me up.

    Coincidence or breakthrough?

    I have no scientific evidence, but I do believe that starting my son on fish oil was what made a huge difference in his ability to speak. My 3 year son was diagnosed with a neurological speech disorder called Apraxia and we did not notice any gains after a year of weekly speech therapy. I really didn't believe that fish oil would make a difference, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to try it and within a week we noticed a big difference. He was suddenly able to say words that had multiple syllables and he started speaking in 4-5 word sentences, where previously he could only say 1-2 words and he usually left the endings off of his words. Getting him to take them was difficult, we used to put it in his juice which made all of our cups smell awful, but after a while we figured out that we could give it to him on a spoon with some candy and he would take it just fine. The lemon flavor helps a lot. So, ultimately I don't know whether it was the fish oil that helped my son tremendously or whether it was a coincidence, but I believe it was the fish oil. My only complaint is the price and I wish that they sold just the oil minus the gels for people who are unable to swallow large pills.

    Works fantastic with no side effects

    My 7 year old has been taking these with magnesium for ADHD and we have been able to avoid medication so far. He doesn't like liquids or gummies and learned to swallow pills. They are big lol but work great!!!
