    Quality and Confidence

    The price of this product is a touch more than some of the discount brands, but the quality is double or better. When I order from NOW and in particular this product the affect of the Glycine is much more than another discount brand I was buying. I alternated the discount brand with the NOW brand and the NOW brand was better.

    Seems like a good product

    Having opened a few into water this tastes like it's glycine so that's all I need to say. I just don't see the need for it to be in pill form after all. Might as well get a powder and use it to take the bitter out of iced tea or something. It's good to have several grams of this stuff a day because it improves skin and connective tissue, helps to seal off the lower GI, and...supposedly it help sleep but I notice nothing in that area. I do some bodybuilding and when I reduce carbs and increase glycine my joints feel much better.Another highly important thing glycine does to act as a kind of band-aid on the modern world is it balances out all the methionine we get from eating nothing but muscle tissue, while relatively rarely eating whole animal parts which transfer a lot of nutrients and various amino acids into the dishes we eat. High levels of methionine (resulting from high muscle protein diets) are usually correlated with heart disease, so while you can do low carb and avoid some problems, you'd do well to use glycine if you tend to eat straight muscle meat a lot.
