It is hard to find the branch chains together in high mg. I prefer to buy the separately for that reason. This product contains 500 mg of L-Lysine. Lysine is an amino acid that our bodies can't produce but that is essential for human health.L-lysine is important for proper growth and it supports other amino acids in converting fatty acids into energy and helping to decrease bad cholesterol. Some scientific studies indicate that lysine aids in calcium absorption and it is important to maintain healthy connective tissue. Lysine is especially good for athletes and is thought to help improve endurance and recovery. Many report that it has helped them with problems associated with osteoporosis. It is also recommended by many for the prevention and control of cold sores. I use this to try and increase my natural levels of HGH. I feel younger and have more energy while taking this product.     This is the third time that I have purchased this item. I cannot take tablets and after they stopped making the one that I had been buying for years, I had look for another one.
