  A trusted joint health supplement has been made even better

  This review is for Nutramax Cosequin Joint Health Supplement, Soft Chews.Nutramax is a trusted name in veterinary circles for joint health supplements, and Cosequin is one that my younger dog takes. We presently use the chewable tablets, but Nutramax has recently introduced Cosequin in a new "soft chew" formulation that I thought I'd try. The chews are actually pretty firm, but not hard like the tablets are. See photo for a comparison between the tablets and the soft chews.My dog liked the taste of the chewable tablets just fine, but finds these soft chews to be even better.Nutramax has also update the formulation of Cosequin for these chews. The original tablets were formulated with glucosamine, chrondroitin, MSM, HA (hyaluronic acid), brewers yeast, and manganese ascorbate. These new chews include a postbiotic yeast, glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, sodium chondroitin sulfate, omega-3s, and "EPA+DHA". Additionally, the ingredients list fish oil, green tea extract, and rosemary (which the original tablets did not include). Some of these additional ingredients may have been added to make soft chews out of the formulation. One notable change is that the HA (hyaluronic acid) has been left out of the soft chew formulation. I am not a veterinary nutritionist so I have no opinions to make on these changes, I'm just noting them. They are both called "joint health supplement" but it seems like these new soft chews have more ingredients for additional supplementation.The per-dose soft chews have a slightly higher price point than the original tablets, but with the additional supplementation you might find that this new formulation is a good value for you.Nutramax is a trusted source and my veterinarian recommends the Cosequin for my dog. I'm happy to have a soft chew version of this supplement to use. Recommended.

  My dogs love them

  I cannot say enough good things about the Nutramax Cosequin Joint Health Supplement soft chews for dogs. After trying multiple joint supplements over the years for my aging dog this is the one product that truly delivered noticeable consistent results. My dog had started showing clear signs of joint stiffness such as being slower to get up hesitant on stairs and less enthusiastic about walks. Within a few weeks of introducing these chews into his daily routine I began to see a real difference. He moves more comfortably has regained some of his playful energy and no longer seems to struggle after lying down for long periods. It has been such a relief to see him acting more like his old self again. What really stands out about this supplement is the well rounded formula. The combination of glucosamine and chondroitin provides solid joint support while the omega 3 fatty acids help with inflammation and mobility. The addition of postbiotics is an impressive bonus and I have noticed improvements not only in his movement but also in his digestion and general well being which makes it feel like a truly multifunctional supplement. Another major advantage is how much my dog enjoys taking them. In the past giving supplements was a struggle but these soft chews are treated like a treat so there is no hassle at all and he gets excited every time. The quality and reputation behind Nutramax also gives me peace of mind knowing I am giving him something backed by research and made with care. The 90 count container is convenient and lasts a reasonable amount of time making it a good value for the benefits it provides. Overall this supplement has made a meaningful difference in my dog's comfort mobility and happiness and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to support their dog's joint health and overall quality of life. And it seems like my dog doesn't mind the taste!

  Good buy

  Our dogs love these. Seems to really help with their joints. We've given our dogs Cosequin for many many years. We have a 17 year old and a 13 year old, they still get around great. Very effective, keeps them mobile and good energy levels. Good value. Doggies seem to like the taste.

  I've used Nutramax for cats arthritis with very good results. Too soon to know if helps the dog

  Years ago my veterinarian recommended Cosequin for a senior cat that had arthritis so I've been using Nutramax joint supplements (Cosequin for Cats capsules, Dasequin chews for cats) for cats for over 16 years for senior cats that had arthritis and after several weeks there was a significant improvement. So when I saw these chews for dogs I thought this would be good for a 7 year old overweight Sheltie who has been having difficulty getting onto couch and onto her human's bed. It is too soon to know if her mobility will improve but she does like the chews and acts like they're a treat. The Nutramax brand is recommended by my vet and from my past experience with cats, I think these likely will help the dog. No side effects, quality ingredients, and a very reputable brand. Also trying to get dog to gradually lose some weight too.
