Description
Give your cat’s favorite scratching post a new lease on life with the Opvixi White Sisal Rope. Designed specifically for pet owners who prefer a hands-on approach to maintenance, this high-quality sisal twine is the ideal solution for repairing worn-out cat trees, towers, and scratching posts.
Measuring 164 feet in length with a 4-millimeter diameter, this rope provides ample material to fully re-wrap multiple poles or secure new scratching surfaces throughout your home. Crafted from 100% natural, biodegradable sisal fiber, it features the rough and stiff texture that cats instinctively crave to maintain their claws, exercise their muscles, and relieve stress.
Unlike synthetic alternatives, this natural fiber is safe, durable, and free from harmful chemicals or oils. Beyond pet furniture, this versatile twine is also excellent for wrapping table or chair legs to protect your home decor from enthusiastic scratching.
Whether you are refurbishing a tired cat tower or creating a custom DIY project, this sisal rope offers the strength and authentic feel required for long-lasting results. Note: As this is a natural product, it may have a slight initial odor; we recommend placing it in a well-ventilated area before use to allow the scent to dissipate.
How to use
- To repair your scratching post, first use pliers to remove any old staples or remaining worn-out rope.
- Clean the post surface thoroughly.
- Secure the beginning of the new rope at the base of the post using a heavy-duty staple gun or a hot glue gun.
- Begin wrapping the rope tightly around the post in a continuous, even spiral, ensuring there are no gaps between the rows.
- Continue until the post is fully covered, then secure the final end of the rope firmly with a staple or glue.
- For added appeal, you can sprinkle a small amount of catnip underneath the rope while wrapping to encourage your cat to use the newly repaired surface.
