FAQs
How to connect an HDMI extender?
An HDMI extender is connected by plugging the video source into the transmitter unit via an HDMI cable. A single CAT5e, CAT6, or CAT7 ethernet cable is then run from the transmitter to the receiver unit located near your remote display. Finally, another HDMI cable links the receiver unit directly to your TV or monitor.
What is the HDMI to rj45 network cable extender?
An HDMI to RJ45 network cable extender is a hardware kit that converts standard digital audio and video signals into a format that can travel long distances over standard ethernet networking cables. This avoids the signal degradation and high costs associated with long-run HDMI cables.
How does HDMI over IP work?
HDMI over IP works by converting high-definition AV signals into standard internet protocol data packets. These data packets are transmitted across an existing network infrastructure or a direct ethernet cable connection and are then decoded back into standard HDMI signals at the receiving end without latency.
