FAQs
What is the HDMI audio extractor for PS5?
An HDMI audio extractor for the PlayStation 5 is a device that splits the audio signal from the console's HDMI output. This allows you to send high-definition video directly to your 4K or 8K display while routing the audio separately to a dedicated soundbar, AV receiver, or headset that lacks an HDMI port.
Does HDMI 2.0 support 4K 120Hz?
No, standard HDMI 2.0 lacks the bandwidth required to transmit a 4K resolution signal at a 120Hz refresh rate. To achieve 4K at 120Hz for modern gaming consoles, you need a full HDMI 2.1 connection with a 48 Gbps bandwidth capacity, which this Orei BKA-1 model fully supports.
Does this audio converter support Dolby Atmos pass-through?
Yes, this device supports high bit rate audio pass-through. It can successfully route advanced formats like Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio from your source device directly to a compatible audio system.
