Product details
Description
The Osmo Polyx-Oil 3043 in Clear Satin is a professional-grade hardwax oil finish designed to protect and beautify interior wood surfaces. Formulated for discerning woodworkers and homeowners, this finish is ideal for hardwood floors, fine furniture, and wooden countertops. Unlike traditional varnishes that create a plastic-like film, this microporous formula bonds molecularly to wood fibers, allowing the surface to breathe while providing exceptional protection.
Crafted from a blend of natural vegetable oils and waxes, it offers a sophisticated satin sheen that enhances the natural warmth and grain of the wood. It is engineered to be extremely durable and hard-wearing, ensuring it will not crack, peel, or flake over time. The finish is highly resistant to common household liquids, including water, dirt, and spills, making it an excellent choice for high-traffic areas. One of its standout features is the ease of maintenance; spot repairs can be performed quickly without the need for sanding the entire surface. Whether you are finishing a new project or renovating existing woodwork, this oil provides a long-lasting, elegant, and protective barrier.
How to use
- Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and free of dust.
- Apply the first coat thinly and evenly along the wood grain using a high-quality brush, microfibre roller, or lint-free cloth.
- Allow to dry for at least 8 to 10 hours with good ventilation.
- Apply a second thin coat following the same procedure.
- The finish is fully cured after 2 to 3 weeks.
