Enhanced than assumed!
The case was far more than I expected based on the pictures provided. The pictures do not do it any justice. It Is made of exceptionally SOFT leather used in more expensive apparel. It is durable enough to protect your investments in writing instruments, but luxurious enough to place in a suit/dress shirt pocket or a purse as an added accessory to your attire - an elegant addition.The width is not as wide as other pen cases I purchased (usually the width of a dress shirt pocket (pocket protector size). This case is narrow, about the width of credit card (vertically) and can hold 3 standard size pens comfortably (i.e. LAMY 2000, Cross Townsend, Pilot Namiki, etc.). The leather is soft enough to stretch and hug those larger girth pens.

A handsome way to shop two pens
First off, this is a truly handsome - and functional - accessory. The leather construction is sturdy and develops softness as you use it. The stitching is excellent. The dark green strap adds a small and beautiful accent against the smooth black leather. Because the closing flap is long and flexible, there is no problem in storing long pens; the flap adjusts to most any such pen. I've tried it with two relatively large pens - a MontBlanc 149 and an Omas Vintage 360 - and they do fit uncomfortable tightly together. But two Pelikan Souveran 800s are comfortable with each other. I am presently keeping a Lamy Safari and a narrower Monteverde One Touch mechanical pencil in the case, to use while traveling, but the case will hold many larger pens. Inside the case, pens are separated by what feels like a leather divider, which is attached to one side and moveable on the other. A good idea to accommodate pens of different sizes.The case arrived on time, well wrapped and in its original Pelikan box. Unlike some other reviewers, my case had no odor at all. After shopping for such a pen case, I am completely satisfied with this Pelikan product. Highly recommended!

High standard, nice appears, goes well oversized fountain pen
I have purchased several generic leather pen cases for my fountain pens, and this one is the best I have so far in terms of both looks and quality. The case has 3 divided compartments for 3 pens, and it is big enough to fit at least one over-sized fountain pen (Largest sized Omas Ogiva pen) along with two regular sized pens.I think this case is a very good value -- it's of a much higher quality than most generic leather pen cases, AND it is not overpriced like the Montblanc cases or some of the other luxury-brand cases.
