Product details
Description
Permatex Disc Brake Quiet is a highly effective, professional grade elastomeric multi polymer compound engineered to eliminate annoying brake squeaks and squeals. This specialized formula works by dampening the harsh vibrations that naturally occur at the interface between the brake pad and the caliper. It forms a high temperature, water resistant protective film that tightly bonds to the metal backing plate of the disc brake pad.
Designed specifically for vehicles that do not feature built in anti squeal shims, this thick blue paste provides a much tighter fit while actively protecting metal brake components against rust and corrosion. This added layer of protection ensures that subsequent brake disassembly is significantly easier. Perfect for car enthusiasts and DIY mechanics who perform routine automotive maintenance, this formula is completely safe and fully compatible with modern anti lock braking systems.
This imported solution ensures a quiet, premium quality brake job without compromising stopping safety.
How to use
- Ensure that the brake calipers and the steel backing plates of the brake pads are entirely free of dirt, grease, and oil.
- Squeeze a generous, even layer of the compound onto the back, metal side of the brake pad only.
- Do not apply to the rotor contacting side.
- Allow the liquid to dry for a minimum of 10 minutes, or ideally up to 3 hours for maximum bonding strength, until it sets and becomes waxy before reassembling the brake system.
