I'm upgrading my review -- that might have just been a bad box.
June 5, 2020 -- a few weeks ago I needed more. Couldn't find anything seeming more suitable and really was curious if a second box of these might be better. They are. I'm fine with them. They are a little fragile but I have not had leakage problems unless I put something sharp in there that would poke a hole in most any bag. And this box is doing fine at tearing at the perforation when I separate them Original review February 25, 2020 Subject: Can't separate bags at perforation without tearing the next bag Wonderful idea. Flimsy and far too easy to tear. This (photo) is usually the *best* I can do, being very slow and gentle. There is always one place, maybe it's not perforated enough, and it tears. I have used about 15 of the 50 bags and I will make an effort to use them all up. But what an aggravation. Will not buy them again.

Not sure
I want to like these bags. I mean I do like the bags, but I'm confused. Are they home compostable or are we being duped with wording? I posted pictures so you can see what I mean. It has a symbol that's stars "home" so I'm gonna assume they're home compostable in my backyard compost. There's also the industrial facility compostable symbol. Again, I'm gonna assume we can compost either way since there's both symbols on them. If she m wrong will someone please point it out and clear this up. I love the texture of the bags, sturdiness is good. Unless you're my husband and you tho k you can jam double the normal amount of trash in one and then throw it down the driveway.🤨 I'm able to clean a huge indoor rabbit cage out with a full 50 liter of carefresh, Bunny pee and poop without it ripping while carrying g it down the stairs and out to the trash. I'm gonna put a few in my compost pile and see what happens in a few months. I'll update.

Good enough bags, but what are they actually made of?
Good bags, and the size works for small garbage bins while the 3-gallon ones really don't. If the bottom gets soggy they won't stay intact for long, but this isn't normal plastic. The photo shows a bag in use on a garbage bin that's about 13" tall, and 9" x 13" in the other dimensions. I'm dinging the bags one star because it's not entirely clear whether the bags are completely free of petroleum based plastic. The listing notes the codes that the bags comply with, but doesn't actually state what they're made of. There's no mention of them being cornstarch based, etc., or whether they're free of petroleum based plastic and that concerns me.
