Superb Radio.
We get a lot of power outages here this summer, so I wanted to get a weather band radio to have during those outages to get information about what's going on, warnings etc. So 2 weeks after I received this radio, we had a 6 hour power outage. Turned the radio on (inserted 3 D size batteries) Weather band reception is great, immediately found a station, loud and clear. Power went out again a week later, same results. FM was fine, had to move the radio around a bit (normal.) AM reception seemed a little inferior, lots of noise. AM reception is alway noisy compared to FM. However, at night AM reception improves, less noise and stronger reception. There are reasons that radio reception may be weaker than it was in the past - interference from wi-fi signals, cordless phones, smart phone signals and noise from appliances. That being said, the quality is fine, well built. I would recommend this radio.
