Product details
Description
The PRV Audio TW400Ti-Nd-4 Slim Super Tweeter pair is engineered to deliver exceptional high frequency clarity and massive volume for custom car audio setups and high output pro audio installations. Featuring an advanced, ultra compact neodymium motor circuit, these three inch bullet tweeters dramatically reduce mounting depth and overall weight without compromising on sonic performance.
A premium titanium diaphragm paired with a high temperature Kapton voice coil former allows the system to reach an impressive sensitivity rating of 105 dB, reproducing sharp, detailed highs from 4,500 to 20,000 Hz. Perfect for custom car doors, specialized enclosures, or replacing factory speakers, this pair handles up to 120 Watts RMS per tweeter.
The integrated yellow protection capacitors act as an inline crossover, filtering out potentially damaging low frequencies to ensure safe, distortion free playback even at maximum volume. For car audio enthusiasts in India looking to upgrade their soundstage with genuine American pro audio components, these shallow mount super tweeters provide the ultimate combination of compact sizing and loud, crystal clear acoustic performance.
How to use
- Disconnect the vehicle battery before installation.
- Route the audio speaker wires to the designated mounting location in your custom door panel or enclosure.
- Connect the positive and negative leads to the hidden push terminals on the tweeter, ensuring correct polarity.
- Secure the compact housing using the provided mounting screws.
- Ensure the integrated yellow protection capacitor is properly aligned to filter low frequencies, then test the audio system at low volume before adjusting your amplifier crossover settings to a recommended 6,000 Hz at 12 dB per octave.

FAQs
What speakers or mid-ranges are you pairing these with?
These high-efficiency super tweeters pair best with powerful pro audio midrange speakers or high-output door speakers that require extra high-frequency clarity. Because they feature a 105 dB sensitivity rating, they easily match the volume levels of loud, competition-style mid-bass drivers. It is recommended to use an external amplifier with adjustable high-pass filters to balance the acoustic output across your entire car audio system.
Are you installing these in a vehicle or a custom audio enclosure?
Thanks to the slim neodymium motor design, these tweeters are highly versatile and can be installed in compact car door panels, custom pillars, or dedicated pro audio speaker boxes. Their shallow mounting depth requires significantly less space behind the mounting surface compared to traditional heavy ferrite tweeters. This makes them perfect for modern vehicles where space inside the door cavity is limited.
Do you need help calculating the right amplifier to match their power rating?
These tweeters are rated at 4 Ohms impedance and handle 120 Watts RMS per tweeter, or 240 Watts peak power for the pair. To get the best performance without damaging the voice coils, look for a multi-channel car amplifier that delivers between 100 to 120 Watts RMS per channel at 4 Ohms. Always utilize the included crossover capacitors or set your amplifier high-pass filter to 6,000 Hz to prevent low frequencies from reaching the tweeters.
Are these PRV Audio super tweeters authentic USA imports available in India?
Yes, all PRV Audio products listed on Dropy India are authentic, genuine imports sourced directly from authorized suppliers in the USA. We ensure that Indian car audio enthusiasts receive original premium components complete with original packaging and included mounting accessories.
Can the diaphragm be replaced if the tweeter gets blown?
Yes, these bullet super tweeters feature a user-serviceable design that allows for quick and easy diaphragm replacement. If a voice coil gets damaged due to accidental clipping or excessive low-frequency feedback, you can swap out the titanium diaphragm without needing to buy a completely new pair of tweeters.
