FAQs
What is the anti escape clip for car seats?
An anti-escape clip is designed to keep harness straps securely centered across a child's chest, preventing them from wriggling their arms out. However, please note that while these clips are excellent for strollers and high chairs, after-market chest clips are generally not recommended for motor vehicle car seats as they can alter crash-test dynamics.
Are anti-escape harnesses safe?
Yes, anti-escape clips are safe and highly effective when used as intended on strollers, high chairs, and pram harnesses to keep active toddlers secure. Always ensure the clip is positioned correctly at mid-chest level and never use third-party accessories on car seats unless approved by the seat manufacturer.
When securing a child in a child safety seat, the harness chest clip should be positioned where?
The chest clip should always be positioned at the child's armpit level, right across the center of the breastbone. This ensures the harness straps stay properly aligned over the shoulders to provide optimal restraint and safety.
