Product details
Description
Upgrade your backyard poultry setup with this efficient gravity-fed watering system designed specifically for baby chicks, bantam breeds, and growing birds. Built with a 1-gallon translucent bucket, this waterer allows you to effortlessly monitor fluid levels at a glance while its specialized exterior blocks harsh light to prevent algae accumulation.
Featuring four horizontal stainless steel trigger nipples mounted on the sides, it delivers a steady flow of moisture while eliminating traditional open troughs that easily get contaminated or leak onto bedding. The attached metal carrying handle ensures convenient transport and hanging inside coops or brooders.
Ideal for poultry keepers seeking a cleaner, low-maintenance hydration station for their flock.
How to use
- Hang the waterer just above the height of your birds so they look up while drinking.
- Remove older open water sources to encourage exploration.
- Tap the horizontal stainless steel nipples manually to release initial water drops so your chickens learn the trigger mechanism, repeating throughout the day until the flock drinks independently.
Ingredients
Food-grade high-density polyethylene plastic bucket, stainless steel nipple components, silicone rubber internal seals, and metal handle with plastic grip.

FAQs
How do you train chickens to use horizontal nipple drinkers?
Remove alternative water sources and manually tap the stainless steel nipples to release droplets. Once a single bird discovers the dripping moisture, the rest of the flock will quickly follow and learn by example.
What size flock is this 1 gallon waterer suitable for?
This 1-gallon container featuring four side-mount nipple stations is ideally sized for baby chicks, bantam poultry, and small growing flocks.
Does the container prevent algae growth?
Yes, the bucket is manufactured from a specialized translucent material designed to block harmful ultraviolet rays that trigger algae development while still allowing you to monitor water levels.
Are these poultry waterers authentic imports available in India?
Yes, this is an authentic USA-imported product. Dropy sources this item directly from the United States to ensure genuine quality for Indian customers.
Do side-mount nipples leak compared to traditional open waterers?
Horizontal side-mount triggers significantly minimize leaks and keep bedding dry because birds activate the stainless steel pin sideways rather than splashing water from an open basin.
