INCREDIBLE Ingredients, Easily Absorbed
I have used (and loved) this brand's sunscreen before, so I was super excited to see their moisturizing ampoule. This ampoule is so amazing - it's literally just FULL of ingredients ranging from grate to really really great, and doesn't contain a single known irritant or not great ingredient (based on research, peer review articles, and my own basic understanding of skincare). I love that there's no added fragrance, though it does have a slight smell, it's from the ingredients. There are no essential oils, no frills, just good stuff. This has ingredients that are incredibly hydrating (hydrolyzed sodium hyaluronate, beta-glucan, ceramides), anti-aging (ceramides, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, vitamin e), and even some soothing ingredients (glyceryl glucoside, lactobacillus ferment, xylitol). There's so much good stuff yet it's incredibly watery and easy to absorb. I'm so impressed. I recommend using this after toners but before any actives in your skincare routine. Another hit by Round Lab!

Watery, but in a good way
The ampoule is in a well-designed bottle that has a plastic sleeve so nothing will get into the bottle when you pull out the applicator. It is watery in a good way. I layer this with another serum that I put on first and then I put this on. The first time I applied it, it dripped really fast, so be warned it is a watery texture. I rubbed it in and it was immediately absorbed. My skin feels so soft afterwards. I finish with my moisturizer. I really like this ampoule because it is hydrating and great for layering, but it doesn't bother my sensitive skin.

Moisture-retaining dream essence
This essence has become my favorite second step in skincare after cleansing and toning. It's packed full of moisture-retaining ingredients like 10 different kind of hyaluronic acid, birch juice, beta-glucan, and Aquaxyl. After using for over a week, I've noticed a definite improvement in the level of hydration in my skin. The temps in the North have been colder than usual and I would normally be struggling with how to handle my skincare with the drier temps, but this essence has allowed me to use the normal retinol, AHAs, and vitamin C without worrying that I might cause flakiness and irritation. I've also noticed that the essence seems to be soothing some usual redness I get because of changing hormone levels. The overall tone is more even and clear. After cleansing and toning, I apply this essence and then retinol or AHA at night/vitamin C in the morning, and follow up with a thicker cream containing ceramides, and/or peptides, squalane, and vitamin E for extra moisture lock and barrier protection. I appreciate that it's fragrance free for us scent-sensitive folks. Highly recommended!
