A Sensitive‑Skin Win: Lightweight, Glowy, No Breakouts
Incorporating a sunscreen has done wonders for my skin - I used to think it was a myth. American sunscreens and tinted moisturizers always broke me out, and I hated wearing them until I found Korean sunscreens that actually worked for me. I'm also a big fan of the Dokdo toner, so I was excited to test this. I used my usual skin prep, and as a final step applied this sunscreen and the glow is real.First of all, the sunscreen feels like a serum - super lightweight, glowy but not greasy. I'm obsessed with it. I've used it for three days so far and haven't seen any breakouts.The Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sun Serum is the lighter version of their best‑selling Birch Juice sunscreen. It's an SPF 50++++ chemical sunscreen formulated with birch juice extract, five types of hyaluronic acid, PDRN, aloe, antioxidants, and niacinamide, to name a few. The serum‑like texture is best suited for oily, acne‑prone skin, though other skin types can absolutely use it - I have normal but sensitive skin and it works beautifully for me.It plays so well with makeup, looks naturally glowy on its own, and doesn't leave a white cast on my brown skin. Need I say more? I can already see myself reaching for this regularly, and it's definitely joining my current rotation.

Sunscreen with serum texture, great for use under makeup
I use sunscreen daily and have been using round lab sunscreens for about a year now. I usually use their birch juice zinc oxide sunscreen, which is a physical sunscreen so may leave a white cast- I am pale so the white cast just blends into my skin lol I really liked that one because it is not greasy at all and still use it occasionally but I think I've found a new favorite. This new sun serum is amazing! The texture is light and slightly watery like a serum, instead of heavy and thick. It goes on the skin easily after my toner, and other serums. My skin feels nice and soft, has a nice glowy look without being sticky, oil or heavy. There is no white cast or greasy feeling. I apply my bb cream and concealer on top of this and it goes on so smoothly! I also like how it is fragrance free and suitable for sensitive skin. I haven't noticed any skin irritation or clogged pores with this sunscreen. The price of this is comparable to most korean sunscreens and I think it's totally worth it.

I really like this brand. This is one of my staple brands in my Korean skincare beauty routine. This sun serum has more of a liquid viscosity than other sun screens I have used. It's light on the face and doesn't leave a white film on me. It absorbs well into my skin and gives me good coverage. I do feel it has a slight sunscreen fragrance but not overwhelming like others that I've tried. This tube is only 1.69oz but I feel a little will go a long way so it should last me awhile. Great for this summer. Thus far, it doesn't cause any adverse reaction to my face as well as incorporating it to my skincare routine while building it on top of other products. Overall, this brand has become one of my favorites. I don't have any reactions to my skin when adding any of their products to my skincare routine. This sun screen serum is very lightweight, doesn't feel heavy, texture is smooth and feels great. I like that it provides good coverage against the sun. Will continue to use and buy!

ROUND LAB: skin protection with extra benefits
ROUND LAB is a renowned K-beauty line whose DOKDO products are a favorite among skincare fans. As a Californian who's always on the lookout for new sunscreens, I jumped on their Birch Juice sun serum, intrigued by the reference to vegan PDRN as well as an old favorite, hyaluronic acid. I could not find a complete ingredient list on this page so I'm attaching a photo of the box. Note that this is a chemical sunscreen, and chemical sunscreens do not have white casts. The ROUND LAB sun serum is fragrance-free, and although it comes out looking like grade school glue, it is truly lightweight and blends into the skin with only a moderate amount of rubbing. See photos. It seems to absorb completely: my skin does not feel sticky, icky, or slimy. With an SPF of 50, my skin is well-protected. For anyone seeking a high-protection chemical sunscreen that also has skincare benefits built in, the ROUND LAB product is worth your consideration. It feels luxurious, and at a competitive price
