Aging Skin Friendly
As I enter my 70's, I admit that I need to start putting some effort into a regular skincare regime. I have gotten away with cleansing with water or unscented body soap. I use eye cream but no moisturizer except for the sun screen. My skin is dry in patches and I have a few white and blackheads. Just a few wrinkles on my top lip and between my eyes. Perhaps a little roseca. My gal friends all talk about K-Beauty, short for Korean Beauty Products.I ordered a set of 3 K-Beauty products; a full-size moisturizer, a full-size sunscreen, and a convenient travel-size cleanser. The product is called Birch Juice Moisturizing UV Lock, Birch Juice Moisturizing Cream, and a Mini Sized 1025 Dokdo Cleanser. This is Korean Skin Care found at the ROUND LAB Store. The first thing I did is to look up what birch juice is. It refers to the sap extracted from the Japanese White Birch tree, used in skincare for its intense hydrating, soothing, and anti-aging properties. It is rich in amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. This natural ingredient strengthens the skin barrier and provides antioxidant protection. I have used all three products and like them all. I use the cleansing cream at night and in the morning. It has a creamy texture that doesn't strip or dry my skin out. Even though the tube is small, I only need a little each time, so it lasts longer than expected. I also appreciate that it's completely unscented. The moisturizer has a light, fluid texture-almost like a lotion rather than a traditional cream. It is a light moisturizer, absorbs quickly, and leave no sticky residue. I would like it to have sun screen in it so I could use during the day. For now, it is a light moisturizer to use at night. The packaging is a good sized glass jar with a small spatula included. The sunscreen is probably the one product I feel the least excited about. I like how sheer it is and that it doesn't leave any white cast, but it leaves more of a glossy finish on my skin; a little dewey for me. I usually use mineral based sunscreens with a more matte look, so this was a bit different for me. Like the rest of the set, has no added fragrance. I am impressed with the Round Lab Birch Juice skincare set, especially because my skin has become sensitive and prone to irritation with age. I think the Round Lab Skincare Set is a great introduction to a skin-friendly, uncomplicated skincare product line. 5 Stars.

Beautiful gift set, fragrance free K-beauty
Round Lab is a K-beauty brand that I really like. I feel that the ingredients that they use are pretty clean and everything that I've tried from them has been fragrance-free, something important to me in skincare.This gift set is really well put together. It contains a full size facial moisturizer, a full size sunscreen, and a travel size facial cleanser.Cream: This moisturizing cream is very lightweight, more a lotion in consistency. My skin easily absorbs it and it's non-greasy. My skin tends to be dry so I feel I need to apply a second layer once the first absorbs, but I do really like how it feels and looks on my face. It leaves my skin smooth and glowy. It may not be ideal for someone with very dry skin, but makes a nice lightweight day cream. I love that it's unscented, and that the ingredients are mild. It's one of those everyday moisturizers that I can just apply without thinking, unlike creams with harsher or stronger actives that may not layer well with other products with active ingredients. You receive a generous 2.7 oz glass jar. It comes with a tiny spoon.Cleanser: I actually already use this cleanser almost every day. It's one of my favorites. It's creamy and mild and the travel size makes it great for taking it along on trips. You don't need much so even though it's small it lasts a while. It has no added fragrance.Sunscreen: This sunscreen is lightweight, and a little more greasy than I had hoped. I usually use mineral sunscreen instead of chemical, and I guess I thought this would be more matte. Instead it leaves me a little shiney. It has no white cast though. And it's unscented, a big plus to me.This is overall a very nice set and would make an excellent gift, or even a great introduction to Round Lab for someone who wants to try the brand out. I'm really happy with the selection, the quality ingredients, and the fact all three items have no added scent.
