Hydrating in winter!
This cica ampoule is meant to be used under moisturizer. It has a thick jelly consistency (see close-up pics) , but you smooth it over your face in a thin layer- and it goes on easily. It is hydrating and does not irritate my skin- and i have sensitive skin to the point that sometimes just putting on lotion hurts. The cica ampoule leaves an ever so slightly tacky finish if used alone, but since it is meant to go under lotion then there is no stickiness once it is under lotion. I thought it would smell piney but instead it has a faint smell like burning rubber. but the unpleasant smell is very mild and barely noticeable while applying and not at all noticeable once lotion is over it. Even though the smell is not the best, i think it's indicative of the fact that there is no added fragrance- which is best for sensitive skin. Fragrance molecules are frequently irritating, so unscented is best. This gives the same kind of feeling as using a sheet mask, but is much faster! It has been great to combat dry winter air.

I purchased this Round Lab brand Pine Calming Cica Ampoule to see what it's all about. Recently I've been trying new products to up my skin care game. I've had somewhat blotchy skin as long as I can remember, and I've just begun adding in a good face care routine including moisturizing.. This comes in LA lightweight bottle. The dropper is glass. The serum is very lightweight. It almost feels like an oil, but it doesn't feel like a heavy oil. It goes on smoothly, but leaves a slightly sticky feel. I follow this with a regular hydrating cream moisturizer. The serum doesn't have any odor that I can discern. There are no sensitivities or adverse effects. It "seems" to be helping with the blotchiness. I think this is a good value for the quality.

Calming for rosacea
I have very sensitive skin with red hot burning rosacea, and this stuff helped calm and cool. It worked great I just wish it was a bit more affordable.. the similar skin1004 calming serum was just as effective for me and you get a lot more for the same price. I love all my other round lab stuff though!
