Description
The Rugged Ride 1200 Denier Waterproof Adjustable Neck Turnout Blanket is designed to provide ultimate winter protection and comfort for horses. Engineered for varied climates, this mediumweight turnout sheet balances exceptional durability with high-performance insulation.
The exterior features a 1200 denier polyester outer shell that completely blocks out rain and harsh winds while maintaining breathability to prevent sweat buildup. Packed inside is 200 grams of polyfil insulation, offering optimal warmth during cold winter snaps without overheating the horse.
This blanket features an adjustable neck cover system that allows horse owners to customize the fit around the chest and neck area, eliminating gaps that let in cold drafts. A smooth 210 nylon lining lines the interior to polish the coat and prevent painful friction or rubs.
For horses that love to move, integrated shoulder gussets provide maximum freedom of movement during turnout or barn rest. Low cross surcingles, a double buckle front with quick-clip closures, adjustable leg straps, and a full-coverage tail flap ensure the blanket remains securely centered and firmly in place through rolling, running, and windy weather conditions.
How to use
- Place the turnout blanket gently over your horse's back, centering the fleece padding on the withers.
- Secure the double buckle front chest closures first, adjusting the quick clips for a snug but comfortable fit.
- Fasten the adjustable neck straps to seal out drafts.
- Cross the low belly surcingles underneath the horse's abdomen to form an 'X' shape.
- Loop the adjustable leg straps through each other around the hind legs and snap them into place, leaving enough slack for natural movement.
