FAQs
What is the coarsest buffing compound?
Coarse compounds like the RUPES D-A Coarse High Performance Cut serve as the heaviest abrasive step in paint correction. They are specifically formulated to aggressively eliminate deep scratches, severe oxidation, and heavy sanding marks before moving to finer polishing steps.
What grit is this RUPES polishing compound equivalent to?
This compound features a high-performance abrasive system capable of quickly removing sand scratches and severe defects up to 1500 grit. It achieves this rapid leveling while still finishing down smoothly on most automotive paint types.
Can I use this compound with a rotary polisher?
This specific D-A Coarse formulation is engineered and optimized for random orbital or gear-driven dual-action orbital polishers. For rotary machines, RUPES manufactures dedicated rotary compounding gels designed for that specific movement.
Is the RUPES D-A Coarse compound available on Dropy India authentic?
Yes, all products available on Dropy India are 100% authentic. We source this high-performance polishing compound directly from reputable suppliers in the USA and import it to India, ensuring professional detailers receive genuine detailing solutions.
Does this cutting compound require a second polishing step?
On many standard paint types, this compound offers a one-step correction by cutting defects and finishing with surprising clarity. However, for a flawless, deep gloss showroom finish, following up with a finer polish like RUPES D-A Fine is highly recommended.
