Surprise for a 16 year former male
Not only does it look like an former table upper radio, but it quite is a radio (and Bluetooth speaker). And a solar panel?!? Super easy to connect to your phone or computer via Bluetooth. Solid sound grade. Fantastic! Radio operates remarkably well.

Everything works
I like this Baijiali BJL-671 portable AM/FM/SW radio. But I love that it also has a short-wave tuner-which can be fun and useful in emergencies. The radio can be powered by its removable, rechargeable Li-Ion battery, or through its USB-C charging port (with or without the removable Li-Ion battery installed). The 3.7V "18650" Li-Ion battery is 1200mAh (4.44Wh), so it should be able to run for many hours on battery-power. I was primarily interested in getting a portable AM/FM radio. (I listened to a station at 87.5 MHz.) Similarly, the lowest SW frequency is advertised as 5.6 MHz, but the frequency range is indeed 2.8MHz - 22 MHz. Otherwise, it's faultless for an inexpensive portable radio. It's straightforward to employ and the reception is genuinely decent. The BJL-671 shortwave sensitivity also seems better. (It still amazes me that I can get a radio broadcast from halfway around the world-especially on an inexpensive portable radio!) The FM frequency range is advertised as starting at 88 MHz, but it's at least 87.5 MHz (and maybe 87 MHz). I took both radios outside tonight (here in Silicon Valley) and tuned to Radio Brand-new Zealand (17.675 MHz). I like this Baijiali radio much better because it's rechargeable, it's easier to tune, the sound quality is much superior, and the short-wave frequency-range is wider. I have a pocket-sized AM/FM/SW radio (XHDATA D-219 that is greatly-regarded for its shortwave sensitivity) but it's challenging to tune and the speaker is incredibly petite. It does not have an earphone jack, and there is no battery-meter. The Baijijali reception was stronger, and quite clear.

A little creepy
I really TREASURE this radio! went right to my 88.1 station.. With the previous radio I was using.. but that one little station I needed would not tune in without lots of static.. woah.. As soon as this recent radio was delivered, I just plugged it in.. I'm SO very content with it! But THIS portable radio.. and only a very little setting worked, sometimes! I listen to a very difficult to tune in radio station! it was highly difficult in the brick building condo I live in to get a clear signal in the other more costly radio I had. I tried 2 other more expensive radios.. and WOW!
