FAQs
What is the best cone for a cat after surgery?
A soft, plush cone collar like the Seyezo recovery donut is highly recommended by pet owners. Unlike hard plastic cones, it allows your cat to eat, drink, and sleep comfortably while effectively preventing them from licking or irritating upper-body surgical wounds.
How long can a cat wear a soft cone?
Cats can safely wear a soft recovery cone for the entire duration of their healing process, typically seven to fourteen days post-surgery. It is recommended to check the fit daily and clean the collar regularly to ensure hygiene.
Will this donut collar prevent my cat from licking lower-body wounds?
This soft recovery collar is highly effective for protecting wounds on the upper body, neck, and head. If your cat has a wound on their lower body or back paws, you may need to order a larger size to prevent them from reaching those areas.
