What is the best bedding for a bird cage?
The best bedding options include recycled paper liners, newspaper, or specialized bird cage paper rolls that absorb moisture effectively. Avoid using wood shavings or walnut shells, as these can breed bacteria or be harmful if ingested by your pet. Combining quality liners with a mesh seed catcher keeps the entire area tidy.
How do you cover a bird cage at night?
Use a breathable, lightweight fabric sheet or a designated cage cover that blocks out light completely while still allowing fresh air to circulate freely. Ensure the cover is secure so it does not droop into the cage where birds might chew on it. Covering your bird helps regulate their sleep cycle and reduces night frights.
What are common bird cage mistakes?
Common mistakes include choosing a cage that is too small for your bird's wingspan, neglecting daily tray cleanings, and placing the cage in drafty areas or direct sunlight. Another frequent error is leaving the floor area unprotected, which results in seeds scattering everywhere. Using a mesh guard helps manage food debris efficiently.
Is this Shappy bird cage cover an authentic imported product available in India?
Yes, this is an authentic Shappy product imported directly from the USA. Dropy India sources genuine personal care and pet accessories directly from trusted global channels, ensuring Indian pet parents receive original merchandise that meets international quality standards.
Can this mesh seed catcher fit extra large birdcages?
This specific model measures 118 inches in circumference and 15 inches in width, making it ideal for small and medium-sized birdcages. It is not recommended for extra-large or multi-tier flight cages. Always measure the total perimeter of your cage before ordering to ensure a proper fit.
