How do you measure a bird cage for a mesh cover?
To find the right fit, measure the total circumference by adding the length of all four sides of your square cage, or measure around the widest part of a round cage. This Large size cover comfortably accommodates bird cages with a total circumference of up to 118 inches.
Does this bird cage cover block out all light?
No, this cover is made from breathable nylon mesh which blocks mess rather than light. The black color helps dim the lower portion of the cage to create a cozy resting area, but it does not provide complete blackout coverage.
Can birds chew through the mesh netting?
While the nylon material is soft and durable, inquisitive birds may try to pull or chew on the mesh if it is placed within their reach. Position the skirt on the exterior lower half of the cage to minimize contact with your bird's beak.
Is this Shappy bird cage cover an authentic import available in India?
Yes, this is an authentic Shappy product imported directly from the USA. Dropy India sources genuine international pet care accessories directly from American distributors to ensure premium quality for Indian pet parents.
How often should I wash the bird cage seed catcher?
It depends on your bird's habits, but washing it once a week is highly recommended to prevent dander and dust buildup. Simply shake off loose seeds and machine wash the nylon skirt on a cold, gentle cycle.
