Product details
Description
The Sheepdog Microphones HDLO is a premium, covert listen-only earpiece engineered specifically for tactical law enforcement, military operations, and undercover surveillance. Unlike traditional acoustic tube headsets that trap sweat and suffer from discoloration, this advanced design utilizes a tubeless configuration.
By placing a high-definition Knowles balanced armature micro-speaker directly near the ear canal, it delivers unmatched voice clarity from dispatch and team members without needing your two-way radio at maximum volume. This responsive diaphragm setup guarantees crisp communication over a frequency range of 300 Hz to 3000 Hz while lowering overall power consumption.
Designed for prolonged missions, the low-profile cabling features a twenty-four-inch flexible coiled cord that allows full head mobility without pulling. The reversible ear hook ergonomics ensure a lightweight, secure fit on either the left or right ear, significantly reducing acoustic fatigue during extended shifts.
This professional-grade communications tool lets ambient environmental sounds pass through naturally, keeping tactical operators fully aware of their physical surroundings at all times.
How to use
- Attach the appropriate size silicone ear tip onto the micro-speaker assembly.

FAQs
What brand and model of two-way radio are you using?
This listen-only earpiece does not plug directly into the radio chassis. Instead, it connects to the 3.5mm audio jack located on your remote shoulder speaker microphone or push-to-talk unit, making it universally compatible with any radio brand paired with a standard speaker mic.
Are Sheepdog earpieces waterproof?
While designed to withstand tactical field environments and eliminate sweat-induced moisture buildup inside the acoustic channel, these earpieces are water-resistant rather than fully submersible. They perform reliably in heavy rain and humid weather conditions.
What speaker microphone model will the earpiece plug into?
The earpiece features a standard 3.5mm connector that is fully compatible with any major brand speaker microphone or push-to-talk device that hosts a matching 3.5mm receiving audio port.
Is this Sheepdog HDLO earpiece an authentic USA import available in India?
Yes, this is a genuine Sheepdog Microphones product imported directly from the USA. Dropy India sources these tactical items directly from authorized American channels to guarantee 100 percent authenticity for Indian law enforcement and security professionals.
What is the benefit of a balanced armature driver over dynamic speakers?
Balanced armature drivers utilize a stationary coil and a highly responsive diaphragm. This creates highly detailed mid-range voice frequencies vital for radio communication while remaining incredibly compact and energy-efficient.
