May have converted me to a matte lippie gal
I'll admit it, I usually avoid matte lipsticks because they tend to make my lips feel like they've been wrapped in parchment paper. But this SHEGLAM lipstick in Beach Babe completely changed my mind!The formula glides on smoothly, feels lightweight, and somehow manages to be matte without sucking every ounce of moisture from my lips. The color is gorgeous, a flattering everyday shade that works with just about any makeup look.My favorite part is the subtle sparkle. It's not glittery or over the top, just enough shimmer to catch the light and give your lips a little extra something special. It makes the matte finish look more dimensional and less flat.The color lasts surprisingly well throughout the day, and it fades evenly without leaving my lips looking patchy. As someone who normally reaches for glosses and creamy lip products, I'm genuinely impressed.

Comfortable Matte Lipstick with Great Coverage
I ordered the color Beach Babe in this velvet matte lip color, which is very close to my natural lip color, just nicer. For a matte lipstick it feels very hydrating and soft. There is no glossy shine, but there is a very subtle shimmer in the formula. It also has a soft sweet fragrance.The pigmentation is great. One layer completely covered my lips with no patchy spots.The lipstick stayed soft while wearing it and did not flake after a while like some matte lipsticks can. I also like that it didn't settle into wrinkles around my lips.The only downside I had was that it was very prone to sticking to my teeth when I smiled, so I had to be careful to remove the excess after applying it. Also, while it was long lasting on its own, it did need to be reapplied after eating.Overall, I am very happy with this matte lipstick.

Bold Color, but Still Comfortable to Wear
The Flame shade is a strong, warm color that definitely makes a statement. I am fair-skinned, so deeper shades can sometimes look much darker on me than they do in the product photos, but this one still has enough warmth to keep it from looking harsh.The texture feels smoother and more velvety than a lot of matte lipsticks, which can sometimes feel dry and chalky. It applies evenly, gives good color with one pass, and has enough pigment that you do not have to keep going over the same spot.It does hold up fairly well through normal wear, although I would not call any lipstick completely waterproof once food and drinks enter the arena. It may need a little touching up after eating, especially around the center of the lips.Overall, it is a bold, polished shade with a comfortable matte finish. Good for days when you want your lipstick to show up and do some of the talking.

Oh, wow! Sheglam is amazing!
When I first saw this lip product from Sheglam, I thought it was another ph lip product that just make your lips look a little pinker. I have similar packaging in the past and I guess that is where my mind went to but I was so wrong! I ordered the lightest shade because I like to be able to use different lip pencils to change the look of lighter shades. It was a risk because sometimes the lightest shade can end up being a yellowish nude that looks horrible on me. In this case, I got a stunning light pink that is so pigmented. This is supposed to be a velvet, waterproof matte lipstick. It is very creamy and glides onto my lips so easily. I am beyond happy with this lipstick. It was also very durable, though I was able to remove it with a thick tissue. The lipstick tube is so pretty and unexpectedI have to admit I have gotten used to affordable brands trying to dupe bigger brands and even though I have seen similar matte looking lipsticks, this whole Starlight packaging themse appears to be unique to Sheglam and I am impressed. I will probably buy another couple of shades!
