No kids here but was excited to use this piece on my own curly hair as a detangler. Gentle curls when dry.Living in a rural area loaded with ticks, hopeful that the peppermint will deter tick from attaching to my scalp. Uncomplicated to spray in your own hair - pump worked nicely tipping the bottle while spraying. Initial application leaves a strong peppermint scent which does dissipate in about 5 minutes.Biggest complaint is the little, little writing on the bottle - using a micro font and white ink on a light background for a article for kids was surprising. I needed a magnifying glass and the right lighting to read the bottle. Functions well for that purpose and allows a snag free comb out after towel drying hair. I spray and finger comb hair every morning.

I cannot say if its coincidence or if this Kapow! Nevertheless, I can say we have not had lice in our house since using. It isn't as robust as a rosemary scent as others we have used but there is still a relatively strong scent when first sprayed. 8oz Lice Defense & Detangling Spray truly works.
