    This primer is a keeper-keeping makeup in place in extreme heat.

    I currently use Sisley Le Tient foundation and concealer and have for over a year. I have dry, unpredictable post-menopause skin and these work great for my skin. I've tried to use primers in the past and I was never wowed y them. The Sisley consultant has tried to convince me to use a primer but I've always resisted until now.This is a matte primer that plays well with many foundations. I tried it with Armani Luminesce Silk foundation (that I was going to throw away because it wasn't compatible with my skin type) and it was beautiful. To pilling or patchiness. It works e trebly well with La Tibet foundation. My skin looked almost flawless and my makeup lasted outside in the 99 degree heat over 7 hours which is impressive.I find myself turning towards Sisley more often lately. It's been a family owned company for a few hundred years. Unlike other companies that have sold out to large conglomerates, their products aren't mass produced or marketed. They are sold in high-end stores or their own boutiques. Their products also only continue to improve. They remain a skincare cosmetic company which focuses on using botanical and essential oil based products that aren't mass produced or heavily synthetic based. Their products tend to give consistent results, non-irritating and dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested. Their makeup products are also skin care products and actually do what they claim.While their products are pricey I've found a little goes a long way, so I'm not using as much as I do with department store/drug stores brands.As with almost all Sisley products I've tried, I'll be re-ordering this primer again

    Feels silky smooth with a matte finish

    I'm 52 and I no longer wear makeup but I still like how primers feel on my skin.Growing up, it was more economical to buy chafing gel and use it as a primer, it was inexpensive and left you with silky smooth skin and a nice base for your makeup. It has been so effective that I still use it on my skin to this day as it's a fraction of the cost with effective results.When this primer came up on my feed, I couldn't help but give it a shot, at that price I figured it had to be better than my chafing gel.This primer is wonderful, a little goes a long way and it leaves the silky smooth feel I enjoy. The only difference I found between this product and my alternative, is that this product leaves a matte finish which I really love and appears to soften my lines, see the before and after side by side comparison. The product doesn't have a strong scent and doesn't feel sticky at all, it absorbs quickly.I'm happy I had the opportunity to try this product as I wouldn't spend this much in the real world so I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to enjoy items that people like myself normally wouldn't splurge on.Having said that, I'm giving this product 5 stars because I was not expecting the results I saw. If it wasn't for the before and after side by side, I wouldn't have believed it. Although the softening of lines is minimal, you can definitely see improvement.Would I purchase this product myself? Not at $125 for one tube. I would if that amount was pocket change for me. So would I recommend this product? Absolutely! If you have the means and you think the side by side comparison is worth the price, I wound say, go for it!

    Not Just for Oily Skin!

    I'm going to preface this by saying I have dry skin, so I always use a moisturizer before applying primer and makeup. I typically gravitate toward hydrating primers, but this Sisley Phyto-Teint Matte Primer has such great reviews that I wanted to give it a try.The formula is a lightweight gel texture with a subtle scent that's noticeable without being overpowering. It has a luxurious fragrance that matches the overall high end feel of the product. It's a silicone based formula, so be sure to pair it with a compatible foundation or skin tint to avoid pilling or patchiness.The primer glides on effortlessly and absorbs quickly. Even though I don't have oily skin, it does a great job of minimizing the appearance of my pores while still feeling lightweight and comfortable. I've been using a moisturizing loose powder on top, and my skin looks great throughout the day. Since my skin is on the drier side, I've also been pairing it with a hydrating primer on my driest areas. I've even worn it alone on makeup free days (it's summer and miserable 🥵) just for the blurring effect.This primer is definitely on the pricey side, but you're paying for a prestige product that performs. Just keep in mind that you're only getting 1oz of primer though. Would I purchase it again? If I had the extra money lying around, absolutely. It has kept my loose powder looking fresh all day, even through sweat, and overall it just makes my skin look better thanks to the plant based ingredients.4.5/5 Stars

    Ridiculous Price, But Great Product

    Sisley Paris is a well-established (around for 50 years), highly sought after luxury beauty brand, started and still owned and run by the d'Ornano family in France. Long available in high-end department stores and specialty boutiques, this botantical-centric line is newly available on Dropy.This primer can be worn alone, or as a silky smooth base for makeup. It smooths, softens fine lines and keeps down shine, making skin appear (and feel) more flawless than it actually is, adding a bit of an airbrush effect to skin. It doesn't pill on skin (a pet peeve of mine with primers) and a little goes a fairly long way.As someone who rarely wears makeup beyond lip gloss and mascara, but LOVES skincare, I have a love-hate relationship with primer. I love the way it makes my skin feel soft and smooth, blurs my pores and reduces uneven tone and redness, but I still want it to FEEL like I'm not wearing anything on my skin. This applies light, absorbs easily and doesn't leave any residue, while still having the smoothing effect I hoped for. Within a few minutes it had melted into my skin just like moisturizer, and it worked with my regular sunscreen, which I wear daily without fail. (Literally, the best anti-aging step you can take.) Never got oily or shiny, even in the current heat of summer.The elephant in the room on this otherwise very good product is the price point which is…let's just say silly. There's no way this tiny plastic tube should cost as much as it does. But-and, granted, it's a huge caveat-if you can get past the cost, it's a great product.
