    I like this on my hair

    To be honest I don't regularly use hair products but this was offered to me as a Vine reviewer so I took a chance and ordered. When testing it, I didn't use a whole lot of jelly, just basically a thin layer on my palms, then worked it through my damp hair and let it dry naturally. It does indeed control frizz, and my curls seemed bouncy and more full (no mean feat for a 70-year-old). So yes, the product does what it claims to do. In fact, my stylist, who sees me about every 7-8 weeks, noticed the difference in my hair immediately! Some of the claims include "no parabens," "no silicones," and "vegan," none of which mattered immensely to me, but they might to you. Also of note: the 35-oz. size jar is HUGE - it will easily last me maybe a year even with more or less daily use. For the SRP ($11.74 at this moment) I suggest you give it a try.

    Isn't thick enough to truly hold curls in place.

    I have used-and continue to use-this curl-defining gel on my hair, and I can tell you that it doesn't quite convince me as a product for firmly setting curls. It has a somewhat watery consistency and isn't thick enough to truly hold curls in place. Even so, I like it a lot: it has a pleasant scent, leaves no white residue on the hair, and doesn't cause any itching when I use it. I've been using it in combination with a leave-in conditioner and a mousse; this mixture *does* manage to keep my hair set and makes it more manageable. It isn't suitable for use when adding extensions to braids, as it lacks the necessary consistency. The container holds 35.2 oz, and upon opening it for the first time, it is filled completely to the brim. It claims to be the number one product in Brazil-and, in fact, it is manufactured there-but personally, it doesn't take the top spot on my list of hair gels, though it certainly ranks among my top five favorites.     Curly girl method approved!

    This SKALA Chachos styling jelly is well formulated and free from heavy occlusives that will weigh down your curls. It smells great and is really economical. I found this hair jelly to offer a mild hold, that doesn't leave hair crunchy or hard. It helps keep my hair smooth in outdoor humidity and helps hydrate my hair. I haven't noticed any issues with buildup residue, which is a huge plus! I layer my leave in conditioner underneath, and I feel the SKALA hair jelly helps seal in the moisture. The jar is really big, which is great from a budget standpoint. I would recommend a spatula or something similar to dispense the product. The smell is nice, not over powering or chemical-smelling. Overall, I think this is a well formulated curl jelly and it works great as a styling jelly and a hydrating anti frizz treatment.

    Perfect curl jelly with a heat protectant! Great value

    This hair jelly is amazing. Works beautifully on my daughter's curls. We either scrunch and let air dry or diffuse and the curls stay nice and fat and soft all day even in Texas humidity. This tub is huge definitely a value. Smells delicious if I could I would eat it (I'm not it just smells that good) My daughter has fine in texture hair but very dense curly hair and it's not heavy or greasy it's exactly what I was looking for.
