  A Helpful Supplement for Memory Support

  I've been taking these Solgar Memory Support pills for a little while now, and I've noticed some improvements in my memory. While I'm not a doctor and can't speak to the science behind it, I've definitely felt a bit sharper when it comes to recalling things throughout the day.The pills are easy to take, and I appreciate that they're vegan and free from dairy and gluten, which makes them a good fit for my dietary preferences. I also like the inclusion of Vitamin D, which is always a nice bonus for overall health. The Nutricog™ and Huperzine-A ingredients seem to be doing something right since I've seen some positive effects.Overall, I'm happy with this supplement and will likely keep taking it to see if the benefits continue. If you're looking for a brain health support option, this one could be worth trying out.UPDATES ON 3/13/2025:I would caution everyone against taking those pills. After taking them for a bit I noticed that every time I take one pill I develop some side effects including nausea, migraine, flashings in my vision, etc. I will need to stop taking them and would like to advise others to be careful as they are not what I thought before and may cause side effects.

  Plant, Fruit and Tree Ingredients to help Support Cognitive Health

  I like how this product is just 1 pill a day. THis dark bottle which helps protect the cap from exposure to light/sun has 30 servings at one pill a day. THe main ingredients in the proprietary formula comes from a fruit (Haritaki or Terminalia chebula), tree bark (Boswellia serrata or "Indian frankincense"), and a Chinese plant called Huperzine-A. These 3 key ingredients may be attributed to many healy benefits, one of which is brain health. Together they may help individuals with concentration, focus, and alertness. Although, keep in mind that the company states that to be beneficial with the company's claims of cognitive support it will assist "with continued use." So, one can't expect continued results without continued use. Taking this product offers support with my multi-tasking demanding work day.

  Corrected Nutrition Info

  So, just as a heads up - the product image shows the nutrition facts for a different Solgar supplement. This supplement, the Memory Support, includes the following per 1 capsule dose:2mcg Vitamin D1.1mg Zinc300mg "NutriCog" (a blend of Haritaki (fruit) and Boswellia serrata extract)200mcg Phyto-Sure-O.C. Organic Huperzine-A (toothed clubmoss, whole herb)I've supplemented Boswellia before for help with joint pain, but never noticed any cognitive impact. I've taken Haritaki when included in Triphala, but not on its own.Huperzine is the new ingredient to me. There seems to be some research that its supplementation can be helpful for cognitive function, and it does look like there are a decent amount of potential side effects and some possible interaction with anticholinergic and cholinergic medications, so be wary.With that said, I am interested and intrigued in seeing how this supplement works out for me long-term, and thus far have not experienced any issues.

  I just learned Nutricog isn't brand specific - my brain is already benefiting from this supplement!

  Nice and herby, just as I like it!Solgar is a supplement brand with a long and reputable history. I know Nestle bought them a few years ago, but from what I can tell, the products have maintained the original characteristics and, impressively, still use the classic glass bottle, hooray!There is a lot of published research available regarding Nutricog and its trademarked formula. I actually had not realized that it was something available for general use amongst different brands / products until seeing it listed here as part of the Memory Support supplement. Until now, I had been assuming it was the actual name of a single specific product (akin to the supplement with the name that sounds a lot like cognition, for example). However, I do think I would feel misled here if I didn't have this pre-existing notion, since the label on the Memory Support bottle gives me the impression that Nutricog TM is actually a Solgar patented name for their special Haritaki + Boswellia blend, as opposed to an indication that they are using an externally patented formula. But also, how do trademarks even work when it comes to naming combined ingredients anyway? I honestly have no idea, but at least, in this case, the presence of the trademark keeps me confident about the authenticity of what I am consuming and the availability of research to further reference should I choose to do so.Whew, always learning new things, especially when it comes to the forever developing research in health and wellness care. Guess it's a good thing I've got this new bottle of brain food to help me keep track of it all ;)
