Description
The Sonew Plastic Rain Cover is a premium, ultra-durable protective shell engineered to safeguard outdoor security hardware from India's diverse and harsh weather elements. Designed specifically for exterior wall mount devices, this transparent guard shields digital keypad controllers, biometric fingerprint attendance machines, RFID readers, and smart video doorbells from torrential rain, intense dust storms, and prolonged sun exposure.
Fabricated from premium, high-hardness PV plastic, the casing offers robust, impact-resistant protection that actively prevents physical tampering while maintaining optical clarity. The streamlined design features a protective lip that diverts water away from vulnerable electrical components, mitigating short circuits and extending the service life of your security systems.
Ideal for residential complexes, commercial offices, and industrial main gates, this transparent enclosure ensures your access control terminals remain fully visible and comfortable to operate daily. It provides an elegant, unobtrusive safety solution that installs rapidly over existing wall setups without interfering with wireless signals or camera viewfinders.
How to use
- Clean the exterior wall surface around the access device thoroughly to remove dust and moisture.
- Apply an even layer of commercial AB glue or heavy-duty glass silicone glue along the bottom rim of the plastic rain cover.
- Align the cover precisely over the keypad or doorbell, press it firmly against the wall, and hold it in place by hand for several minutes.
- For glass glue application, allow the adhesive to cure completely for approximately 30 minutes to ensure a permanent, weatherproof seal.

FAQs
What can I put over my door to stop rain?
A specialized canopy like the Sonew Plastic Rain Cover can be installed directly over your outdoor wall devices. It provides a dedicated waterproof and UV-resistant shelter that deflects water and prevents monsoon rain from seeping into sensitive electronic door systems.
Does this clear cover interfere with video doorbell cameras or infrared night vision?
No, the high-clarity PV plastic material is completely transparent and designed to maintain clear visibility. It protects the camera lens from direct water streaks without distorting the optical view or blocking infrared sensors during night monitoring.
Can this protective shell be installed on rough exterior surfaces like brick or textured concrete?
Yes, it can be securely mounted on uneven surfaces. When using a thick industrial adhesive like glass silicone or AB glue, the compound fills the gaps between the flat rim of the cover and the textured wall to create an airtight, waterproof bond.
