FAQs
Are you targeting a specific fish species?
This heavy-duty Size 5 swivel with a 165 lb test strength is ideal for targeting large saltwater and freshwater game fish such as giant trevally, mahimahi, large catfish, and other powerful species that demand maximum tackle reliability.
Do you need advice on matching leader line weight to this 165 lb test swivel?
When using a 165 lb test swivel, it is best to match it with a heavy leader line of comparable breaking strength to maintain a balanced setup and prevent line breakage under heavy drag pressure.
What makes the dual welded rings better than standard split rings?
Standard split rings can stretch or open under extreme pressure from big game fish, creating a critical weak point. The dual welded rings on this Spro swivel offer a permanently sealed, unyielding connection for absolute security.
